1. Volumetric Flow Rate (Q):

The flow rate is the volume of fluid passing a point in the pipe per unit time. It’s often given in units of cubic meters per second (m³/s) or gallons per minute (GPM).

2. Cross-sectional Area (A):

The cross-sectional area of a pipe is determined by its diameter. If the pipe is circular, the area is calculated as:

Let's assume you have the following information:

  • Flow rate (Q) = 10 L/s (liters per second)
  • Pipe diameter (D) = 0.5 m
